Description

The 11U team will hold a pro-style workout and clinic on Sunday, November 24th at 2 PM on Field 3 at Quail Middle School. The 11U team has not confirmed its head coach at this time, but the workout will be directed by Coach Mike Hennessey, Coach Travis Thompson, and other guest coaches.

Coach Mike Hennessey is in his ninth year of head baseball coach and program director at Charlotte Country Day School and is an active member of the Charlotte baseball community as a coach and instructor. He is currently a hitting and pitching instructor at On Deck Baseball Academy and Board Member of Baseball for Life. Coach Hennessey was a 2006 and 2011 recipient of the Charlotte Weekly Coach of the Year Award and the 2011 recipient of the Coach of the Year Award for both the South Charlotte News and the Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League.

Coach Travis Thompson had a nine-year professional baseball career as a pitcher and is currently Park Sharon’s 8U coach, an instructor at Grand Slam, and a pitching instructor working with several teams around Charlotte.

Baseball League Age: League-age is determined by age on April 30, 2014.  Players on this team must be born between 5/1/2002 and 4/30/2003.
