The Park Sharon 9U Challenge Baseball Team went undefeated to win the championship trophy at the CCBL tournament held May 2-4. The "Mudhounds" played in the 3A division of the tournament hosted by Matthews Area Recreation Association (MARA).
To get to the championship round, Park Sharon beat Ft. Mill (12-2), MARA Blue (7-6), and CoulOak (15-14). To win the title they finished strong with a 17-8 win over Stewards of the Game.
The boys played exceptional baseball and were flawless down the stretch in the two one-run games. Everyone on the team contributed; especially at the plate in the final game - they pounded the ball!
