U5 Co-Ed Soccer is for children who are between 3 and 5 years old as of August 1st, who may be new to the sport of soccer. As with the rest of our sports, our focus is to expose children to the game of soccer in a fun and encouraging environment. The program is run by Charlotte United Futbol Club coach who will work with the kids and parents teaching basic soccer skills that will serve them well as they grow and develop with soccer. Each session builds upon the previous one and is enhanced by parent involvement.
There is typically one 45-minute session each week on Wednesday evenings as early as 5pm at Smithfield Elementary. Each session will include fun, skill-building exercises that progress from the previous session, eventually introducing 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 games towards the end of the season. Unlike the U6 Coed, there is no competitive game schedule at this age.
A soccer jersey and 1 (one) size 3 ball is included in the fees.
